It means "to ascribe human form or attributes to (an animal, plant, material object, etc.)."

Huh.

I thought it could've been funnier than that.

Quite a Long Day...

Today was slow.
Very slow.
So slow in fact, that it was fast.
Very fast.
So fast that the sky flashed over my head...
So fast that I could see the trees growing, creating life...
Cars were zipping by so they were only a blur...
people getting older... dying...
time racing by so fast and I can never relive it....
Wait, no.
Now that I think about it...
My day was slow.
